The chief executive of a State Government statutory corporation has been arrested following an investigation by the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption.

Commissioner Bruce Lander said in a statement today that the 57-year-old eastern suburbs man had been charged with two counts of abuse of public office.

“My office has been undertaking an investigation into the conduct of public officers employed by a state government statutory corporation and other persons,” Lander said.

“As a result of information gathered during the course of this investigation, a 57-year-old man from the eastern suburbs has been arrested.

“The man, who is employed as the chief executive of the agency, has been charged with two counts of abuse of public office.

“He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at 2:15pm on 21 October 2015.

“My investigation is ongoing.”

The charged man will appear in the Magistrates Court.
