China: transforming rural communities

To celebrate Chinese New Year, The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre and the Australian Centre for Asian Business jointly launch a new book titled Transforming Rural Communities in China and Beyond.

This book represents one of the first attempts by a multidisciplinary research team, encompassing the social sciences, business, architecture and planning, engineering, and finance and economics, to help rural communities discover sustainable and self-reliant paths to development and transformation. This book is a collaboration between Y Zhu, H Lan, DA Ness, K Xing, K Schneider, S-H Lee and J Ge.

The book will be officially launched by the Hon Jing Lee MLC, Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business, Trade and Investment and Multicultural Affairs, and the event will be followed by a reception in the Kerry Packer Civic Gallery.
