The pleasures of the Clare Valley are being sold to South Australians in a new commercial to hit cinemas today (watch above).

The South Australian Tourism Commission ad – “Fall in love” – is a domestic campaign which will also screen on television from late April.

The ad features the song ‘Caravans’ by Adelaide band, The Baker Suite, and showcases Clare Valley tourism hotspots such as the Mintaro maze, Martindale Hall and the Riesling Trail, as well as local restaurants and cellar doors.

Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said the campaign was designed to boost intrastate tourism to the region. It’s one of six television ads designed to encourage South Australians to “holiday in their own backyard”.
