Anti-Poverty Week Q&A

Poverty and severe hardship affect more than a million Australians. Around the world, more than a billion people are desperately poor.

Presented as part of Anti-Poverty Week, this event aims to increase public understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship around the world and in Australia. This forum is an opportunity to ask the questions that have puzzled you about poverty and related issues, both here and abroad.

In this Q and A style session, discover prominent South Australians’ ideas on how we may tackle poverty, and the role you can play.

Guest speakers include:

•             Dr Lynn Arnold, Facilitator, Deputy Chair National Anti-Poverty Week Committee

•             Katrine Hildyard MP, Member for Reynell

•             Kay Matthias, Manager, Rural Business Support

•             Alana James, Oaktree Foundation

•             Sarah Martin, journalist, The Australian

Please submit your question when you register.

This event is co-presented by The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre and the Anti Poverty Week Committee.
