Flinders University space archaeologist Dr Alice Gorman chats to Colonel Chris Hadfield – one of the most famous astronauts on Earth – as part of an interview for The Conversation.

In the interview, Dr Gorman asks Colonel Hadfield about human-machine relations, lessons for the Australian space program and his favourite bit of space junk.

Through his creative use of social media, Colonel Hadfield, the Professor of Aviation at the University of Waterloo in Canada, has made space exciting and accessible to new generations of enthusiasts, most notably through his performance of David Bowie’s Space Oddity while on board the International Space Station.
