Nominations are now open for the 2022 South Australian Business Index – InDaily’s authoritative ranking of the top 100 local companies.

Now in its eighth year, the South Australian Business Index is established as the state’s most credible snapshot of our leading private and public companies.
Businesses of all sizes can nominate, via the online form.
While the ranking is based on independent research by Index partners Taylor Collison, the nominations process is important to ensure accuracy and completeness.
To be eligible for inclusion in the list, companies must
- Be a South Australian entity with an Adelaide ownership register, or be a South Australian operated entity
- Be a company founded and majority (50.01% plus) owned by South Australians
Companies owned in part or whole by government, government agencies and organisations, and registered charities are not eligible for consideration in the main Index. However, the awards lunch will also include recognition of the most significant not-for-profit organisations in the state.
While the top end of the Index is usually dominated – at least in market capitalisation – by the big oil and gas and mining companies, the annual list always serves up surprises.
The top 100 list has become a key data source for government departments, businesses and the public to track the state of South Australia’s economy and companies are encouraged to register to be included in the list.
The top 100 will be revealed at a celebration lunch at the Adelaide Convention Centre on September 29.
Nominations will be accepted until August 15.
To nominate, fill in the online form.
Tickets are also now available for purchase to the awards lunch.
