Kelsian Group Limited has appointed Jackie McArthur as its independent non-executive Director effective from January 15, 2024.

McArthur is currently on the Board of Cleanaway Waste Management Ltd and Qube Holdings Ltd. She was previously a non-executive director of Ingham’s Group Ltd, Tassal Group Ltd, InvoCare Ltd and Blackmores Ltd.

Experienced chef joins Adelaide hotel

TRYP by Wyndham Pulteney Street Adelaide has hired Valentin Corchado as the new Director of Food and Beverage.

Corchado has over 20 years of experience in senior executive positions in the international hotel and luxury resort business in Europe, Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.

This includes having the role of Resort Operations Manager at Hilton Hotels Resorts in Fiji, General Manager and Franchisee at Quest World Square and Quest on Dixon Darling Harbour, Director of Food and Beverage at Radisson and Food and Beverage Manager at SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited in Darwin.

Sport SA head re-appointed

The Sport SA Board has re-appointed its CEO Leah Cassidy for a further two years following the conclusion of her current contract.

Cassidy has more than 25 years of experience working in sport and recreation, education management and human services in Australia, Hong Kong and Turkey. She joined Sport SA as CEO in 2018.

Mike Schecter, Sally Underwood and John Holland have also joined the Board. Schecter is the former Director at the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, Underwood is currently with the Drug and Alcohol Foundation and previously the Australian Sports Commission and John Holland is the former President of Dragan Boat SA.

David Turvey

Experienced geologist joins Power Minerals Limited

Lithium exploration and development company Power Minerals Limited has announced that David Turvey has been appointed Project Manager for Rincon Salar at the company’s Salta Lithium Project in Argentina.

Turvey is a geologist with more than 35 years of experience in the Australian and Asian mining industries. He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Resolutions Minerals Director Resigns

Resolution Minerals Ltd has announced the resignation of Non-Executive Director Dr Paul Kitto, effective November 27, 2023.

Dr Kitto has more than 30 years of experience in the Australasian and African mining industry.

He previously held the positions of Technical Director at Meteoric Resources NL, Non-Executive Technical Director at Peako Limited and Non-Executive Director at Tietto Minerals Limited.

New Head of Risk at KeyInvest

Julian Budden has joined KeyInvest Ltd as Head of Risk, where he will take responsibility for the organisation’s risk and governance functions.

Budden worked at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank for more than 17 years in several roles including senior manager. Prior to this, he was the Securitisation and Structured Debt Manager at Heritage Bank.

RAA Travel General Manager joins peak travel business body

The General Manager of RAA Travel Gina Norman has been appointed to the Australian Travel Industry Association’s (ATIA) Advisory Committee.

Norman previously worked as Chief Performance Officer at Bedford Group, Area Leader and General Manager ST NT at Flight Centre Travel Group and Area Leader at Escape Travel.

ATIA is the peak body for travel businesses in Australia.

UDIA announces new President

The South Australian chapter of the Urban Development Institute (UDIA) of Australia has elected Mark Pivovaroff as its new President.

Pivovaroff is the Development Director at Cedar Woods and previously worked as General Manager at Lend Lease, among other roles.

Shaun Bowden from Lanser, Stuart Headland from Villawood Properties and Brian Virgo from Walker Corporation also joined the Executive Council.

Arts guru joins Education Department

Elizabeth Jilbert has been appointed to the position of Senior Project Officer, Funding and Strategic Grants at the Department of Education.

Jilbert has previously held the positions of Grants Coordinator and Project Support Coordinator at the City of Adelaide, Events and Landing Pad Coordinator at the Defence Teaming Centre Inc, Event Coordinator at Carnival Australia and Independent Venues and Programs Hub Producer at Fringe World Festival, among other roles.

Emma Poland

Limestone Coast Local Health Network appoints new CEO

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LHN) has appointed Emma Poland as its new CEO.

Poland is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Albury Wodonga Health and is set to start her new role in mid-January 2024.

She has over 17 years of experience in the health and education sectors and recently led the cross-border health service as Hospital Commander for Incident Management during the height of the COVID-19 response.

Poland has also worked in a range of roles at Calvary Health Care and St Andrews Hospital.

LHN falls under the umbrella of SA Health and manages the delivery of public hospital services and other community-based health services in the Limestone Coast, which includes the towns of Bordertown, Mount Gambier, Naracoorte and Robe.

Yari McCall has joined the Lynch Meyer Lawyers’ Partnership as head of property.

McCall has worked at Norman Waterhouse in several roles for the past 17 years.
