Hills Ltd’s O’Sullivan’s Beach antenna manufacturing plant will be closed, with the loss of 35 jobs.
The company announced the closure today in a statement that detailed a three part “reorganisation of its Antenna and TV (A&TV) business in South Australia”.
“The final component is the closure of the ageing antenna manufacturing plant at O’Sullivan Beach by June 2015,” the company said.
“Up to 35 positions will be impacted by the decision to discontinue traditional manufacturing activities at O’Sullivan Beach.
“Ensuring the best possible transition and support for affected employees will be a key priority in the coming months.”
The statement said the reorganisation also included co-location of up to 15 members of the Adelaide based A&TV team, including engineering and product design staff, with the South Australian based Hills Innovation and Design centres.
The statement said the sale and service of Hills traditional antenna and TV products will be unaffected by the reorganisation.
