The five Australian acrobats – Natano Faanana, Jesse Scott, Lachlan Mcaulay, Kali Retallack and Abbey Church – are not afraid to take risks or embrace the intimacy of human contact. Their choreography is creative and tests the limits of their strength and flexibility, with a few moments of “edge of your seat” nervousness for the audience.

The star of the show is Retallack, whose performance is accomplished and graceful as she swiftly transitions from one pose to another. Her aerial hoop routine would have to be among the best – if not the best – you’ll see at the 2017 Adelaide Fringe.

Other stand-outs are the hula hoop routine and a duet from Scott and Mcaulay. There is a contagiousness to the playful energy of these sequences that provokes laughter.

The show drifts between entrancing, dreamlike sequences and high-energy fun. It doesn’t always balance the two, there is no development of theme or story, and there are some stumbles and shaky moments, but the performers have the audience grinning or gasping throughout.

The ensemble members rely on their own bodies to create beautiful and awe-inspiring acrobatics, with very few props.

It is the perfect show for fans of ensembles like Gravity & Other Myths (now in the Adelaide Festival with Backbone) and guaranteed entertainment for the circus and physical theatre goer.
