Porter & Piaf – Dunstan Playhouse

This double bill featuring Adelaide cabaret talents Michael Griffiths, Michaela Burger and Greg Wain pays tribute to the musical genius of Edith Piaf and Cole Porter. Griffiths will perform Porter favourites such as “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” and “It’s De-lovely”, while Burger and Wain will put their own interpretation on Piaf ballads like “La Vie En Rose”. Performances are on Saturday and Sunday at the Dunstan Playhouse.

A Very Kransky Christmas – Space Theatre

The delightfully kooky Kransky Sisters are back in town for a special Christmas show. They’ll be sharing some amusing family stories and treasures, as well as performing songs both Christmassy and from artists ranging from Sia, Gotye and Daft Punk to Enya, Nana Mouskouri and The Carpenters. For a taste of what’s in store, read InDaily’s interview with Mourne Kransky. Performances are at the Space Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre, until Sunday.

The company is touring Australia for the first time in 15 years.  Details here.

Singin’ in the Rain – Festival Theatre

The music and choreography from the classic 1952 film telling the story of the transition from silent movies to the new era of sound is brought to life – with the help of 12,000 litres of water – in this high-energy Helpmann Award-nominated production. InDaily’s reviewer says the production is full of pizzazz and “spectacular in every sense”.
